Shrivenham Primary School

The village school was built around 1863 following a donation of land from  William Keppel, the sixth Viscount Barrington. The school has been extended many times over the years to accommodate the growing population of the village.

There are now about 160 pupils at the school aged between "rising fives" (the year children become five years old) and 11. The majority of pupils live in the villages of Shrivenham, Watchfield and Bourton.

Many details about the school can be found on the new website:

Chestnut Trees Pre-School

The Chestnut Trees Pre-School has been providing pre-school education for families in and around Shrivenham for over 20 years.

The Pre-School rooms are located in beautiful surroundings within the Memorial Hall. The Pre-School Occupies the smaller hall with a carpeted loggia for our art activities. We also have access to the main hall for our PE sessions, which allows the children lots of space to play.
