Help for Heroes
On Saturday 30th July I have organised a Black Tie Summer Ball at
Swindon Town Football Club in aid of Help for Heroes. Ben McBean,
Patron of Help for Heroes, will be attending this event and will be
helping out with the charity auction and raffle. Generous donations
have been put forward for the auction and raffle including a “quiet
please” board from the Ryder Cup signed by Colin Montgomerie...
Shrivenham and Watchfield Initiative for Fair Trade-SWIFT
Informal group of local people campaigning for greater awareness of the Fairtrade Mark and it's significance for farmers in the developing world. Two billion people in the developing world earn less than 2 dollars a day to produce things that we use every day, such as tea and coffee. Join us!
Swindon and District Guide Dogs
We are a local branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and we have twenty guide dog partnerships in the Swindon area.
It costs Guide Dogs £10 a day to apy for food, vets bills and train these partnerships which comes to an annual cost of £73000 in our area alone.
