MEMORIAL HALL

About The Hall

The Memorial Hall was the idea of Charlotte Barrington with the view that it should be "placed where possible in the heart of the village, and in the midst of a recreation ground...."

The Hall was opened in the Summer of 1926 by HRH Princess Beatrice, daughter of Queen Victoria.
The Hall has a fine hammerbeam ceiling, and is said to be a copy of that at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

The hall can be used for many functions and events.  This photograph is from the 2008 Parish Dinner.

Below is a simple layout and explanation of the facilities available at the Hall.  To book, please use the Booking forms attached, and reference the Terms and Conditions and Health and Safety.
