I am a retired engineer and have lived in the village for over 20 years so I am a relative newcomer!
I have been a Parish Councillor for ten years and the Chairman of the Viscountess Barrington Trust for four of these. I am also the Chairman of the Shrivenham Heritage Society and have been President of Faringdon Rotary Club as well as a Trustee of the Cottage Nursery. I was chairman of the Village Planning Group and with many others was responsible for producing the Village Plan in 2009.
Much of my life has been involved in design and construction and I have been able to put this experience to good use over the years in the improvement of our wonderful Memorial Hall. I believe my experience would also be particularly relevant when the Parish Council will have to respond to the many changes and threats that will face us in the coming years.
