Update from Cllr Howell about the continued suspension of the Garden Waste Collection Service
I would like to share with all Parishes and Town Councils across the Vale of White Horse that on Monday I wrote to the Chair of the Council to call an extraordinary full council meeting to address the many issues around the suspension of the Garden Waste service and “get a grip” of the services expected by residents.
From the poor communication, no plan for restoration of service, and the fact that residents are still getting billed and having money taken from their accounts is an issue that needs to be addressed urgently.
It is my intention by calling this meeting that residents and local Parish/Town Councils can have a voice and that steps are urgently taken to restore a form of service and clear the backlog given the current national shortage.
Please could you forward this message on to your Councillors and residents. I will advise of details of the meeting in due course.
With very best wishes,
Leader of Vale of White Horse Conservatives
Watchfield and Shrivenham Ward.
