On this page you will find links to information on Planning Applications received by the Parish Council. The links below let you view the Vale applications yet to be determined (CURRENT) and those which have been determined (DECIDED) since January 2021. Please note that both these links go the the Vale site which is not part of the Shrivenham.org site.
In considering applications the Vale normally considers only the MATERIAL considerations. A list of current material and non-material considerations is below.
Material planning considerations include:
- Loss of privacy
- Loss of light
- Car parking
- Traffic generation
- Noise and disturbance
- Character of the area
- Green Belt
- Conservation Area
- Design, appearance and layout
- National and local policies
The following will not be taken into account:
- Loss of value to a property
- Loss of view
- Personal disagreements
- Boundary disputes
- Covenants
- Commercial competition
- Construction disturbance
- Sunday trading
- Matters controlled under other legislation such as the Building Regulations
