Julia Jones

A retired prep-school head, my husband (Frank) and I live in Shrivenham - an area my family have been in for 3 generations.  I was educated at Shrivenham Primary and Faringdon schools and (what is now) Oxford Brookes. I am currently a Parish Councellor, Treasurer of the Amateur Dramatic Society (SADS), a member of the Heritage Society (SHS) committee and sing in the local choir - Generations of Sound.

I have no political party affiliations, nor any vested interests, except as a local residential property owner, and stand as an independent, willing to work with anyone whose programme and motives broadly correspond to mine.  Shrivenham is a wonderful place to live, and I fear the changes being "asked" of it may not serve it well.

If we must accept change we must also take every opportunity to manage it as best we can.  I have the time, professional training/experience and local knowledge to enable me to contribute effectively to this process as well as manage activities delegated to the Council and will do so based on the best interests of all us.
